There can be lots of reasons why you might feel like you need a bit of extra support once you have had a child. Often there's an underlying feeling that you have lost your way somehow.
Becoming a mother / parent is so all encompassing and comes laden with a huge number of expectations (from society, your boss, your family, your partner, but mainly from YOURSELF).
You are doing your best to meet everyone's needs but not feeling like you are doing ANYTHING very well. You have lost sight of your own needs in the process and now feel utterly drained and depleted.
I get it because I've been there.
I can help you find the sense of clarity and coherence that you have been missing. I offer:

Pre and Postnatal Support: With a background in birth work and perinatal education, I am able to provide practical and emotional support for the early days of parenting.
Transition to Motherhood: Whatever stage you are struggling with (even many years after your first child was born) I can help you process the conflicting feelings that come with motherhood.
Relationship Dynamics: Becoming parents shifts who and how you are in relationship with your partner and wider family. I can help you navigate this new territory.
Return to Work: Balancing the needs of work and home is challenging. I can help you integrate different aspects of your life in a way that feels authentic.
Attachment and Responsive Caregiving: Creating a secure base starts with you. I can help you find a parenting style that works for you.
Reparenting and Breaking Cycles: There's often a pressure to do things differently from how your were raised. I provide trauma-informed support to help you make deeper shifts in behaviour.
Ali and I have worked together over the last 6 months to help me show up more regularly as the mum I want to be. Our coaching conversations have been incredibly validating and affirming and given me time and space to unpick some of my triggers and test out new ways to reframe and respond to them. Ali is so empathic and kind and has really made me feel seen and heard. I've learnt a lot about myself and how to live by my values and have more self compassion along the way. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to work with Ali.
There were so many 'aha' moments in all honesty. Exploring the shame-isolation-burnout cycle in relation to the idea of being a perfect mother really resonated with me. It allowed me to see how easy it is to stay trapped in that cycle, never feeling like enough however the concept of being 'good enough' alongside being compassionate to myself, feel like great methods to try to improve the levels of exhaustion, burnout and anxiety I have been feeling.
Since my sessions with Ali, I am finding it easier to sit with the difficult feelings I have around my parenting, and feel compassion for myself. I have been very anti 'giving in' to motherhood, and have wanted to keep driving on my career, in order to prove something to someone. However, I’ve realised that there is no shame or weakness in accepting that actually my values have shifted and that I do want to step back a bit at work, and be around more for the children - not out of obligation, but because I want to. I feel like Ali just ‘gets it’ in a way that I think others (even excellent professionals), don't quite get.
Why work with me?
Many of us spend a lot of time in our heads, and this doesn’t always allow for new understanding to emerge about a problem or issue. Instead, we can get stuck ruminating about how things could be different, but still find ourselves reverting back to old patterns and ways of relating to ourselves and others.
Similarly, your experience of talking therapy may have been that it is helpful to share what’s on your mind, but going over the same ground does not always enable fresh insights to emerge.
My belief is that each of us have our own answers, but we don’t always know how to access this wisdom beneath layers of social conditioning or a self-critical internal voice. We often need some help knowing how to regulate our frazzled nervous systems to clear a way towards that deep inner knowing.
That’s where I come in. My training and background includes Psychotherapy, Coaching, Mindfulness and Somatic approaches, so I know it’s important to have space to unpack and process past events, but it is also vital to have a sense of hope and direction. I work in a trauma sensitive way with a respect for whatever patterns have kept you safe and functioning up to this point.

Continued Clarity (60 min session)
Recommended for ongoing work or follow up sessions

- Therapeutic space: trauma-sensitive empathetic listening to help you process where you are
- Coaching support: forward-looking focus and tools to help you make changes around specific issues
Coherence (6 month coaching container)
Payment plans available
What you get:
- 6 months dedicated support to enable you to work at greater depth
- Initial 90 minute call to understand the issues you want to focus on
- Bi-weekly 60 minute sessions (12 in total) to commit to understanding yourself and developing strategies to heal in the present
- Voxer voice messaging access so that you feel held throughout (and have support for those extra stressful moments)
- Online portal with access to resources to support each session
- Including audio relaxations and guided meditations, journaling prompts, reflective exercises and helpful theory
- Access to my Mindful Matrescence workshops (8 hours recordings + workbooks)
